Antique, Vintage Linen Childs, Toddlers Dress 1920s Doll Dress.

An elegant Vintage babies/toddlers dress made from linen, that feels almost like silk, with a ruffles on the collar and the puff sleeves and the hem of the dress. Lovingly hand made with beautiful smocking workmanship. There easy poppers on the back to close the dress. I am also giving the original made in Paris cotton, that was with the dress, which is perfect for any future repair. A beautiful dress in an lovely cafe latte colour makes this a totally stylish summer dress.

The condition is excellent with the odd tiny pinhole, and slight fraying at the back of the collar which is not noticeable but is to be expected with this fine material.

How to measure for your Antique special dress
Find a dress that fits your child well, and lay the dress down on a flat surface. Firstly start with the neck size, and Measure around the collar with a tape measure or even string to get the neck measurements. Note some dresses have drawstring necklines, so are adjustable.
For the shoulder to shoulder measurement take the tape measure, and measure from the shoulder before the sleeve seam to the other side. ( imagine you are measuring your child’s shoulders). The chest measurement is under the armpit, so you measure armpit to armpit, ( that is an easy one) The waist measurement is really for fitted dresses and measure straight across the waist.
The length is from the shoulder to the end of the skirt. This method of measuring is the best way to get the right measurements for your child’s special dress, as each style of dress comes up differently especially as antique dresses are handmade. This way of measuring gives you a lot of Lea way too, maybe to go for a little more room in the neck size or chest depending on the style of the dress to make room for growth.
